The day finally came. Cody messed up the first time, guess he just wanted to be there in person.

Glenn was able to do the sealing. It was pretty sweet. I got to hold Cody, he cried the whole time.

I don'tthink that I ever thought I would go see one of the Beetles. Paul McCartney. What a great concert. My mom and dad came and it may have been a bit loud for them but I think they liked it too. He did several of the group songs and sang for 2 hours and 45 minutes. It was awesome!

He had a new instrument for every song.

We were clear across the stadium from the stage and yes that was my view but the screens on the sides made it perfect. You can see him in the middle of the stage. They did 2 encores they didn't just come back for 1 song they sang 4 or 5 after each encore. It was a great concert.

Memorial Day Race May 29, 2010

Memorial day run, at least it was nice. It had rained all night and was chilly in the morning. What is up with our weather this year.

I felt I ran good. I hung around after the race and ate and got a massage and it paid off.

I took second! Not too bad. I still cannot get under 31 minutes but I am still running!!

Provo Marathon May 1, 2010

First race of the summer. 5k again. May 1. It hailed, snowed, rained. It was cold. Where is spring? I do not like running in the wet, cold. This is at the end. I was soaking wet.

This is just not right. Some people love the cooler runs but I like it to at least be dry!

Utah Valley Marathon June 12, 2010

This is the start. Mark was kind enough to bring me to the race and wait at the finish. He is pretty awesome.

I love this poster. It was posted all around the valley advertising this race. I ran the 5k and had talked to several ladies and it got me motivated to run the Hobbler Half Marathon.

Alli took this and when I saw her she had just gotten her hair cut and I had to run over to see her and the baby and Mark and Dan. I should have just sprinted to the end. I missed getting 3rd by 8 seconds. I guess I should learn to stay focused!!

I loved seeing Cody in the sling. He looked so cute.

Mark didn't want to get too close for the photo. He said I was too sweaty. Oh, well!

Hobbler half

Alli and I decided to run in a half marathon. We did 5 weeks of training since we didn't have anymore time because we just decided to do it. I have ran in 4 5k already this summer so I had been running a lot but this was tough. Here I am coming to the end. Alli and Rachael were already here. 11 minutes before me. It was sure a pretty run down Hobble Creek Canyon.
Mile 12, killer mile. walked a bit around the corner to the school and then ran it it. 2 hours 29 minutes 8 seconds. Not too bad for my first. It was pretty awesome coming on to the grass and then seeing Alli cheering for me. I got all teary eyed, first since I was finishing and then I had a thought of how our life here on earth and all the work and trials and things we do to get us back to Heaven and our families was like this race. I worked hard, trained hard, and the reward was great, seeing my family there and knowing I had done it. Heaven is going to be great!!
Alli got a pretty sweet shot here, the gun time on the clock and me heading in. We were about 52 seconds behind the gun time. We were almost at the back of the pack at the start.

She just kept snapping photos. She was so cute. I really am glad we did this.

Cody had a bit of respiratory distress so they gave him some air treatments and started an iv with antibiotics. He is all hooked up to monitors but he is doing fine. Has to stay on the iv for 48 hours to make sure there was no infection. As of today his blood work has been fine and he should get off the iv later tonight or tomorrow.
He has a monitor on his foot to measure the oxygen. It is kind of sad but he is doing fine.

Fourth of July Race

I decided that I wanted to run a 5K. I registered for the one on the 4th of July in Provo. Mark decided he would do it with me. I just wanted to run the entire race. I did it!!
This is before the race.

This is the BIGGGG crowd. Several thousand people entered. Crazy!
We finished. My first 5k 34 minutes 54 seconds. I did beat Mark by 5 minutes. Got some bragging rights with that! I took 10th place in my division. There were 30 women and so I felt pretty good about my first race.

The day started with Jordan having the championship football game. They won. He is the quarterback and played awesome, as usual.

Dance recital at Thanksgiving Point. It was chilly and rainy. This is Jesse with the little girls trying to keep them warm and dry. Not sure if they would even dance.

She walked around and twirled with ease, I was afraid she was going to fall off!Up on the beam. She had to climb up all by her self.

Christmas Eve 2008

So, we are off to the party. Chad is sporting his lovely Christmas sweater that Kevin sent to him from the Mission. Doesn't he look sweeeet!!
After we had a wonderful dinner we acted out the Christmas story. Mark read, Andrea lead us in songs and the kids, some of them big, acted.

After we got home Sherry and Chad thought it would be fun to take the annual photos. Since Kev was not here to wear the red long johns, Sherry took his place.

Sherry and Chad are trying to imitate the photos from Christmas past with Kev usually in the red long johns. He is away and so we had to improvise. I hope you like it Kev!

After all the photos, Sherry spent the night. She stayed in Kevin's room and awaited Christmas morning. We got up around 10. Had a nice breakfast, opened our gifts and then all the family came over. Later we got the best gift. Kevin called and we got to talk to him. He sounds great and he had a wonderful day. Next event will be the new year.

POLAR EXPRESS

Here we are. This place is pretty awesome. Check out their website. http://stringtown.us/ There is an amazing story about this family. Actually there is a link to the right- Stringtown. Check it out. If you go to the web site they have a 3 minute video with the music we heard and all the pictures that were displayed. It is really good. It would be awesome to be able to do what this family has done.
I only got a picture of Mary and Kelsee on the train. She is listening very carefully to the instructions. Jordan was behind Mary and Andre was in front of me and I could not get him to turn around.

Here we are at the NORTH POLE!!

There was this huge display around the room and a train was going all around. It was sweet.She had the cutest look on her face. Her hand is on his shoulder. I just love little kids reactions to Santa. I know I get excited when I see a good Santa.
After talking to Santa you got a bell just like in the Polar Express. If it had been busy we would have waiting in this big garage and watched the Polar Express while we waited for our turn but we went right to the train.
Andre was cute he asked for that "Blaster Nerf Gun" I hope Santa was listening.
Jordan was funny, he said "I'm not going first". He didn't even sit on his lap just sort of stood there. I could not hear what he told Santa he wanted.

Santa told the story of the symbols of Christmas, he started with the candy cane and asked what does it represent. The kids said the shephards staff. Then he turned the candy cane upside down and said what is this? It was a J and he said remember Jesus. And then he talked about the stars, the color red, the green trees and the bell. The kids seemed pretty interested still at this point.

After Santa was done singing he told the kids they would get another present at the end of the train ride and to look at the pictures and listen to the music and they will get a present in their heart. I know I felt it, not sure if the kids did.The music started and the train took off and we saw some really neat pictures. First the star in the fields.

We sometimes forget that Jesus was a little boy and he must have been a joy to his mother.

This is only a portion of the photos along the train ride. There were so many and we were going quick enough that I could not get all of them. They were so pretty.

This activity would have been more beautiful in the dark. There were lights everywhere and all this pictures would have been all lit up. The music that was playing was really pretty. It has been soo cold here and the night we had tickets ended up the night Kelsee had her dance performance. Oh well, I enjoyed the little time I got to be with the kids and these pictures were awesome.
So, when we were all done Kelsee says "that was boring". So much for that activity!!

TEMPLE SQUARE

So we decided to take the annual trip to see the lights. Chad and Sherry were unable to come but the rest of us had a great time. First we hurried to get there in time to see the Joseph Smith movie. We just made it and I loved it just as I did the first time. The kids were fun to watch. They really seemed to be interested and during the time when he went to the grove to pray and the darkness came they were a bit scared. It was pretty sad and graphic when Joseph and Hyrum were killed. I hope they enjoyed it and will remember Joseph. The movie is amazing and really only shows a small portion of the prophet's life. What a man he is.

Andre and Jordan love playnig football. Jordan is the quarterback and Andre is a bit of everything. He runs the ball, blocks. They are so cute. Kelsee is the cheerleader. This was last year. I did not get her a new uniform. She was not happy with me.
